Cal.1. M: either leave this out or change it to ‘Mirror for Jane’? What do you think? Should we include the mirror piece or not?? In a way I feel that it is nice to have new work, but I am ok with including it if you like to (then Cal. 1. would be J+M which is a nice starting point!). Cal.2. J: becoming a tree (sweden landscape) Cal.3. M: Owl’s Feet (drawing on photo) - I will bring this, but am unsure. Cal. 4. M: Craft Queen. I was thinking of dressing as the ‘Craft Queen’ with a starched head dress with many layers of lace. I will bring the photo, but am unsure. Cal. 5. M: Ear. I will bring the photo (it will be very small), but am unsure. Maybe I should wear some twigs in my ears instead? Cal. 6. J:Becoming a Tree (Greek way). Cal. 7. M: text exchange - will not bring. (but want to use the foot prints in the performance). Cal. 8. M: A Chair for Jane. Collage. A4 size. I will bring this. Cal. 9. M: performance thoughts - will not bring. (but want to use walking in the performance) Video. M: I will edit the video material that I have shot for our exchange, I would like to project this on the wall. It might have sound, small sounds.
Cal[endrier] 1 M[alin Ståhl] : Soit ne pas la mettre ou bien la changer pour “Miroir pour Jane”? Qu’en penses-tu? Est-ce qu’on devrait inclure la pièce du miroir ou non?? D’une certaine façon j’ai la sensation que ça serait bien d’avoir une nouvelle piece, mais je suis d’accord pour l’inclure si ça te plaît (alors Cal. 1. serait J+M ce qui est un joli point de depart!) Cal.2. J[ane Motin] : devenir un arbre (paysage suédois) Cal.3. M : Owl’s Feet [Les Pieds de hibou] (dessin sur photo) — Je vais apporter cela, mais je ne suis pas sûre. Cal.4. M : Craft Queen [La Reine artisan]. Je pensais m’habiller comme la Craft Queen avec une coiffe amidonnée et de nombreuses couches de dentelles. Je vais apporter la photo mais je suis pas sûre. Cal.5. M : Ear [Oreille]. Je vais apporter la photo (elle sera très petite), mais je ne suis pas certaine. Peut-être que je devrais porter des brindilles aux oreilles à la place ? Cal.6. J : Devenir un Arbre (à la façon grecque). Cal.7. M : échange de textes — ne l’apporterai pas. (mais veux utiliser les foot prints [empreintes de pieds] dans cette performance). Cal.8. (mais veux utiliser walking [marcher] dans la performance) Video M : Je vais monter le matériel vidéo que j’ai tourné pour notre échange. J’aimerais projeter ça sur le mur. Il se peut qu’il y ait du son, des petits sons.
Jane & Malin Malin & Jane Arnaud nous a mis en relation il y a un an, par mail simplement. D’une plasticienne performeuse à une autre plasticienne performeuse. Et les deux sont curieuses. Une première rencontre officielle a eu lieu à la galerie en novembre 2011, rencontre virtuelle : Jane récitant les noms des personnages que compose Malin, face à un autoportrait de celle-ci s’intitulant « Mirror for Jane ». Malin n’est pas là. Alors nous sommes parties à la découverte l’une de l’autre,
doucement, en échangeant dessins et images et interrogations, au fil d’une
année, formant un calendrier à deux temps, ou plutôt à temps double. Aujourd’hui, jour de l’ouverture de l’exposition. Nous nous rencontrons pour la première fois en chair et en os.
