4 novembre – 8 novembre 2008
Vernissage : mardi 4 novembre 2008 de 18h Ă  20h.
http://www.rosemariecastoro.com/about.htm

"The echocardiogram (EKG) of the gallery combines three voices, bass-baritone, alto and tenor into a single linear entity, chasing around the interior of the space. Composed using three chest heights, 114cm, 121cm, and 136cm, the work is a measure of heartbeat tones."

ROSEMARIE CASTORO, October 1, 2008

The echocardiogram (EKG) of the gallery combines three voices, bass-baritone, alto and tenor into a single linear entity, chasing around the interior of the space. Composed using three chest heights, 114cm, 121cm, and 136cm, the work is a measure of heartbeat tones.
Ingredients:
one cm wide of 50 meters of aluminium tape
score/plan
pencil
ruler
blue tape (low-tack)
acrylic plastic
matt knife
burin
chair
22 meters gallery circumference
Optional: Three laser beams aligning the three chest high measurements.

Cut 50 meters of 1 cm aluminium tape from larger roll, wrapping several layers around acrylic plastic or have the roll of tape cut professionally by industry.

The score:plan. Mix up the lines at will, choosing to connect two disparate sections.
Sit on a chair or a stool to avoid back bending.
Preferably begin in a corner ad place tape. I am left-handed, so it's comfortable for me to begin on the left and curve to the right.

With a burin in one hand, guide the tape on the wall to make a curve, rubbing the tape to avoid major creases.
Place a slip sheet over tape to smooth out the edges of the line.
